Integration Service Packs

Packaged solutions for connectivity to external systems

One of the critical requirements of system integration is an ability to bridge the so-called "last mile" and connect to existing IT assets allowing service-oriented applications to leverage such assets as part of a business process.

Typical solutions provided by integration vendors are often cumbersome and tied into the larger product suite; whereas open source projects tend to offer the most basic functionality and require additional development to make a solution reliable and feature-rich.

Integration Service Packs provide an extensible set of service components for connecting to enterprise applications, databases and external systems using mechanisms such as File Transfer Protocol, Messaging Systems or Files.  Developers may deploy the services as part of the application engine, host them in a variety of popular Service Bus technologies like Spring and Mule, or embed them into their own applications, thereby extending the functionality as needed.

Database Integration Pack

Provides a set of services that allow users to easily develop and execute SQL Queries or Batch SQL Operations in a transacted fashion across a variety of Relational Database Management Systems. Allows users to abstract and virtualize database access, by using SQL Query and Rows Set objects, marshaling such objects to/from XML, JSON and Binary format. Reliable database connections can automatically fail-over to alternate servers or reconnect in the event of a network failure or server outage.

FTP Integration Pack

Allows developers to access File Transfer Protocol functions and perform atomic file processing operations on an FTP Server. Users may publish content from Files, Messages and binary streams or set up services to poll an FTP site, generating Files, Messages or binary streams. Post processing actions may be taken on source files, allowing them to be renamed or moved for archival purposes.

File Integration Pack

Supports event-driven interaction with file systems through the use of the Event File System Daemon. Users may configure multiple source tracking directories and take action on files as they are added, removed or changed. Allows for binary content streaming, directory snapshot publishing and post processing actions to be taken. Allows for recoverable (pseudo-transactional) file operations and general read/write capabilities.

XML Integration Pack

Provides service components that process XML in an event-driven fashion.  Features include XML Streaming and single-pass parsing, allowing large XML documents to be processed as a continuous XML stream or as independent events containing sub-elements of the document. This dramatically decreases the memory footprint of an application and does not require use of XML processing libraries. Content Annotation allows elements of an XML document to be dynamically extracted and used for content-based document processing. XML documents may be written from event stream to file and inter-operate with other file processing services.

Semantic Mapper

The Semantic Mapper facilities provide a comprehensive framework for data marshaling and transformation. Mapping requires use of the Structured Data Objects library and may be performed on binary data, XML or JSON objects. All data are presented as standard Java objects allowing developers to engage in high-performance data transformation without concern for what the final format may be. Alternately, users may define objects as Semantic Types and use the data marshaling facilities to generate XML or JSON representations of the data making the mapper a valuable tool for API authoring and interface definition.

Messaging Integration Pack

Provides a framework for registering and working with reliable connections to popular messaging systems, such as JMS compliant Message Brokers, IBM/WebsphereMQ™ and TIB/Rendezvous™ facilitating interoperability. Reliable connections can automatically fail-over to alternate message servers or reconnect in the event of a network failure or server outage.  Supports common gateway operations such as Message Sender, Message Receiver and Listener.

E-Mail Integration

Supports integration with E-Mail environments allowing users to send e-mail with configurable content to individuals or distribution lists. Allows for attachment inclusions and general e-mail reporting of exceptions and critical events such as connection state changes generated by reliable connections.

Web Service Callout

Provides a framework for registering and working with Web Service invocations. The service requires use of the Structured Data Objects library to generate SOAP compliant XML content and provides a flexible security plug-in mechanism. Supports name-space aware XML generation. Interoperable with tools such as the Metro Framework for generating SOAP compliant Java objects.
